" I brought my 7 & 9 year old kids in to pick a fish to add to our tank. We quickly decided which one we wanted. We were waiting to be helped. Instead, the older employee turned the tank lights off and said, "I'm sorry. We're closing in about 15 min." It was 6:43 and they close at 7:00. There were several customers still in the store. My kids were devastated, but we left. It's obvious we were an I convinced to them. "

I was on the customer service call and I was on hold for a while then Simone finally answered when they did all they said was hello and then they hung up on me! Which I was stumped bc that's not good customer service. If you don't even help me then that's just bad service "

I went to PETCO today to buy a bag of Hill's Science Diet cat food, but a lady that works there told me that they don't carry it any more. On top of that, she gave me a bunch of attitude. Something about customers buying from Amazon, and other large retailers, blah, blah. I don't feel guilty that people buy things from Amazon, but I do feel guilty that I have to go home empty handed. Colleen, my cat, didn't cause PETCO to have competitors, but she's one of the many pets that PETCO's taking their frustrations out on. Thanks PETCO, I won't be shopping at your store ever again, and not because I can buy cat food cheaper elsewhere. You're unreliable, and (at least some of) your staff are unprofessional. And more important, you let Colleen down. "

" All 6 of the tetras I brought home were infected with ich. I realize it's a common fish disease that spreads fast in the packed tanks of fish stores, but most places I've been to at least try to treat the water. Yes, I should have looked a little more closely at their holding tank, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. I'm only happy I could give those poor little guys a better home and some comfort as they passed. "
