" I graduated class of 2002 when i was there 99-02 i had to deal with clunky 1989 IBM computers with a hard disk drives, dial up internet, old dated`text books and old worn out desks, no wi-fi before they remodeled just to name a few issues, I've seen the outside it seems they have it good over there now complete remodel of everything, assuming inside is all refreshed with new tech too so don't complain kids it could be worse. "

" Shawnee mission south has an absolutely great culture compared to the other SMSD schools. SMS is a place where kids from many diverse families and financial backgrounds can come together and learn about this great world.
As a junior at SMS I feel that going to shawnee mission south has led me to become a very well rounded person. I have learned to judge people based off of their ideas and character rather than by their backgrounds or financial situation. "
