Description

Vision for Grace Place Ministries, Inc:

To provide a safe confidential place for women to be delivered and healed from alcohol and drug addiction, abuse, and life's traumas. To provide non-residential ministry based on the need.

To provide positive support for the area youth, including but not limited to, weekly Bible studies, after school activities, tutoring and mentoring programs, personal ministry and abstinence classes.

To repare men and women in job skills, training them to present themselves for job interviews and equipping them to enter into the work force with confidence.

Grace Place has worked with the local child protection agency, law enforcement, as well as local attorneys on behalf of children in need.

Grace Place Ministries serves approximately 2000 meals per month in the Soup Kitchen as well as provides clothing and houshold items and canned goods for anyone in need.

Grace Place Ministries provides a training ground for the Body of Christ - all denominations and all races to find and use their anointings, giftings and talents to simply be an extension of the hands, feet and heart of Jesus to serve.
In 1 Timothy 4:14 the Word says, "Do not neglect the gift that is in you." (NKJ) 2Timothy 1:6 "Stir up the gift of God which is in you." (NKJ) So, if God has called us and He has equipped us with gifts . . . what are we doing with these gifts? I can tell you that I personally had to get out of my "comfort zone". When God asked me, "Will you do this for Me?", He gave me the grace to obey. He began to use me in ways I could have never imagined. What an adventure to love and serve Him!

We are a faith based ministry and we rely solely on your financial support for this endeavor. With your generous support, we believe we can provide a place where people of all ages and races can come and be encouraged and lifted up out of desperate situations. We firmly believe we can and will make a positive change in the lives of men, women and children in our community.

Adopt A Child Christmas Outreach
Each year we have the joy of touching the precious lives of more than 315 local children through this outreach. We gather individual information on each child and make that information available to individuals, church and civic groups. Each child will receive a warm cap, gloves and socks along with gifts up to $20.00. They receive these gift bags along with a new blanket in December just before Christmas. We have the privilege of praying over each child and their family, sharing the love of God. This outreach is a great way to bless needy children who may not receive any gifts for Christmas. If you want to be involved, you can contact us around mid-November to pick out your child. It's great fun!

Grace Place Ministries, Inc. is always in need of :

1) Donations of material items such as clothing, furniture, household items, etc.
2) Volunteers from individuals, churches, and civic groups to serve in the Soup Kitchen and Clothes Closet;
3) Bibles and devotional materials;
4) Finances;
5) Paper products: 16 0z. styrofoam cups, triple divided plates, bowls, plastic forks, spoons, knives and napkins; and,
6) Canned goods (to be given out in food bags each Friday to the needy).
Most of all we need your prayers to be the heart, hands and feet of Jesus in reaching out to all the hurting, broken and lost.
