Our neighbor used their services when his wife passed in 2022, and he was extremely happy with the services provided. My mother was on home hospice for several weeks, and we already made preliminary contact with another local crematory as we knew her death was coming soon. Going Home quoted a price for less than half the price of the other crematory for the very same services. It was only 36 hours (in the middle of the night) that the time had come and we needed their assistance. Ron and another GH staff member arrived at 2 AM. They were very respectful, gracious and courteous when finalizing the paperwork with my father and taking my mother into their care. Keely was the administrative contact over the next several days in finalizing the online paperwork and even assisted with my mother's obituary. Keely was always kind, professional and knowledgeable. Although this was a situation I wished we did not have to face, Going Home made every step of the process as painless as possible. Thank you for the outstanding customer service; highly recommend. "

" I contacted these folks while my Mom was in hospice. They were great to work with and answered questions without ever attempting to upsell me anything. When the time came to use their service, it required one simple phone call and they took care of everything. Their facilities are basic, nicely decorated and perfect for our needs. Each person I interacted with was respectful and kind. This company charged less than half of most comparable facilities too. I recommend them highly to anyone who is considering preparing in advance or who finds themselves in need of funerary services. "

" I have used Going Home Cremation services twice in three years for both of my parents. They made the process very easy and everything was handled with respect and compassion In my telephone and e-mail interactions and from picking up my parent at a hospital or home; things were performed in a timely manner. I was very grateful that they worked directly with the hospital to pick up my mother in a timely manner, since the hospital had a 24 hour period.
They were able to obtain the death certificates for me. I recommend 15 - 35 depending on the number of accounts and property your loved one had and if they were the last remaining parent.
When my father passed at home, I called and they sent two people out in a few hours to get him. They came dressed in black suits and were properly dignified when wrapping him in the sheet and placing him in the bag and taking him to the hearse.
Note if your loved ones dies in the hospital/ a facility and you are not there when they arrive, they will send you an e-mail with a picture which can be very heart breaking to see, since you must identify the body.
I thought the prices were reasonable for the cremation and basic navy box with the plastic container inside. They also sell fancier cremation urns.
During the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, they brought my mother's ashes in the cremation box to the house. Recently, I had to pick my father's box up at the Woodbine location. The building is in an industrial area and in a rather basic, plain looking building. I am used to attending funerals at old houses converted into funeral homes or fancier facilities, so if you are having a funeral service there, keep that in mind. Parking should not be a problem since it is not a busy looking area.
I worked with Alyson Taylor at Going Home both times and she was professional, competent, and compassionate.
For a loved one who is a veteran, they will provide a folded American flag free of charge which is a lovely remembrance and gift.
I hope to not have to use Going Home again for a while, but 100% I recommend them and am so glad they provide this valuable service. "

" Used this company for the transport and cremation services of both my parents just one year apart and can honestly report everything went without a hitch. Very professional and at same time very empathetic at trying to accommodate how you'd like to have certain things done. They listen.
All the necessary communications were handled informing required government offices of deaths as well as providing a plentiful amount of death certificates that one will find is needed. Very happy to have found them and the price for services was outstanding as well. "
