" This place is hit or miss. Some times, the staff are super helpful and friendly and other times they act like they could not care less that I am there wanting to spend my money.
They have a mixture of local and non-local produce so you have to specifically look for the 'local' signage, otherwise just go to the regular grocery store. This includes their nice selection of wine and random packaged goods such as chips and candies.
The do also have local, pasture-raised meat and dairy products including stuff from Chesapeake Bay Farms. They have a seasonal outdoor section as well so you can find a variety of live plants, depending on the time of year.
Ultimately, the local produce is good, but I hate wondering where the rest of it comes from... "

" If you are looking to get bulk mulch or dirt GO ELSEWHERE! The mark up on these items are ridiculous. Drive 10 minutes further and go to Eastern Shore forest products on St. Lukes road. This is where they get their products. Garden soil here was over $20 a half yard. ESFP was $24 a yard. Mulch pretty much the same deal. Other than that the over all prices are a bit high on all products. "

" New to Maryland and country living. Ran across this nursery on the way into town. Prices seem reasonable and they have a lot to choose from. However, customer service seemed lacking. Asked questions and was met with disdain and lack of communication. Asked about buying beef in bulk and was told to speak to the owner. Asked if he/she was in and was met with a flippant " he's in back." It takes zero effort to smile and ask how someone is. But for the older lady at the register, that seemed a little too much to expect. I'll give it another go as it seems like a good place to shop, and hopefully morale improves. 😊 "
