At the College of General Studies, we offer students a two-year interdisciplinary liberal arts core curriculum. We believe that an educated person must have a firm grounding in the liberal arts: natural science, social science, humanities, and rhetoric. We know that our students receive the same advantages offered by the finest liberal arts colleges—small classes taught by full-time faculty with PhDs in their fields—while they are enrolled in one of the best research universities in the country.

Our alumni are successful in communications, business, medicine, law, government, and education.
