Description

The EWP is a free (0-credit), weekly program that aims to assist international graduate students in their English writing and research skills. In addition, we offer personalized tutoring opportunities, as well as academic training workshops and lectures with university professors and employees.

Furthermore, the EWP program seeks to provide a stress-free learning environment where international students can drastically improve their English writing. This initiative is entirely student-driven (led by a team of native and international students) and with support from multiple offices BC including: Office of Graduate Student Life, Office of International Students and Scholars, and the Dean’s Office of the Graduate School of the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences.
Our weekly sessions, which are led by a PhD student in the Department of Political Science, are designed with the help of PhD students in the Lynch School of Education. We offer:

• Writing principles necessary to thrive in social science graduate courses, as well as analytical and discussion skills

• One-on-one tutoring from the tutors trained in ESL and SFL

• Various professional workshops
