The Railroad Club at the University of Minnesota is seeking new student members for Academic Year 2019-20! Fall 2019 meetings are on Mondays at 6:30 PM, B50 Magrath Library, Saint Paul Campus.
The RR club has been a unique student-led organization from its beginning in 2001. The group has its own on-campus club room complete with an extensive railroading library and developing modular model train layout. The group serves to introduce members to local rail industries, preserve the history of railroading, support its future, and connect the many faculty, student and alumni members who share a passion for rail transportation. Many student members have gone on to rail careers after they left the University.
The club has resources with which student members can design and build their own HO model railroad module. Advisers include two experienced model railroaders. If you have always wanted to build a model RR empire, but lacked space, resources or knowledge, here is your chance!
The club has weekly meetings in our club room - B50 MaGrath Library on the Saint Paul Campus. Check out the Events section for meeting times. If you are an active or future student at the University of Minnesota, and you would like some fun and fulfilling rail-oriented time outside of class, "Like" us here and let us know you are out there.
