Description

We are a group of volunteer animal advocates with Midwest Community Cat Alliance, Inc. who network the animals in government-run animal controls in Farmington, Park Hills, Desloge, Fredericktown, Ironton, Bonne Terre, and Ste. Genevieve in rural Missouri in order to save them from being euthanized. We are not employed by any of the animal controls and do not have the final authority on when or if an animal is euthanized although we do all we can to prevent it. We are not a rescue, and do not own any of the animals.

We work to place the animals with licensed rescue groups so they can obtain much needed veterinarian services, including spay/neuter and vaccinations. The rescue group will then place the cat up for adoption and find their forever home.

We are not a rescue or a shelter. We are a few animal lovers that volunteer our time to help save animals. None of the cats or kittens shown on this page are owned by any of the members of Midwest Community Cat Alliance, nor are they part of a Midwest Community Cat Alliance foster program. We do not have any form of a foster program since we are not a shelter or a rescue - although we do look for and arrange fostering on behalf of the rescues that pull. Sometimes animal controls will also work with official pound fosters. We do not provide any services for owned cats. Our assistance to stray cats includes providing emergency vetting assistance when possible, with the cats going on to licensed rescue as soon as possible, and TNR when feasible.
