Hand crafted metal art work by Bud Payton. After a lifetime of working at building and fabricating drag race cars and several monster trucks, Bud is discovering new creative energy, utilizing his welding skills. Bud began his automotive career in the footsteps of his mentors (uncle and father) His uncle owned a local speedshop where Bud began working as an young teen. At age 15 his family purchased a local race track where Bud raced and worked for 4 years. After the loss of his admired uncle, he kept on track in the motortsports industry. In early 1983, he joined the Bigfoot Monster Truck Team family where he stayed until 1988, when his love for drag racing and building cars turned into a full time business. Payton Motorsports was responsible for many local race cars, getting the attention of national chassis builders. It was at that point in 1992 he decided to go work for Jerry Bickle Racecars, working with a team of Professionals producing world championship N.H.R.A, Prostock and Pro Modified drag race cars.
