" My husband, Harry S. Field passed away on September 29th, 2017. A kind and caring hospital person recommended Simple Cremation to me as I had no idea who to call for Harry's cremation. I called the evening before he died and gave the young lady the info that she needed and assured me that a company person would be there after Harry died. La Paloma was there promptly after he died and the gentleman gave me Ed Rodriquez's number and also said he would call. Ed called promptly. He was the most wonderful and caring person that helped us with details connected to the cremation. He did not rush us, was meticulous in his paperwork. But it was his empathetic manner that stood out! Ed is a one of a kind person who truly cares about his work and being there fully for the grieving family. He was like a special angel sent to us to soothe our grief. The impression he left upon me and afterward when I picked up Harry's ashes was remarkable and commendable. His kind words of wisdom in regard to my husband and his passing, are words I shall treasure always and take to heart. Thank you, Ed...you are truly a gift to the grieving! "

" Our dealings with Simple Cremation started out ok. My mother-in-law passed on a Friday. My husband and I went in on Monday morning to meet with them to go over the options and understand the process. The girl was very nice, calm, soothing. She explained about donating parts of my mother-in-law's body to Life Science. As my mother-in-law lived her life for helping others, we decided to go that route. We were happy to learn, if she was accepted into the program, the cremation fees would be waived. We were told that we would receive her remains back within 15 business days and that donating to Life Science would not alter that timeline. The 14th business day was a Friday. We had not heard anything from Simple Cremation. I decided to call because I was going to be off work early and if she was ready I could go pick her up. I was told that she hadn't even been cremated yet. She was on the schedule for the following Tuesday. I was confused and angry. Why hadn't they called to tell us there was a delay? Tuesday would be the 16th business day since our meeting and longer since her actual death. Then they told me that cremation scheduled for Tuesday meant that she wouldn't be ready for pickup until Thursday or Friday. Now I was really angry. The girl on the phone had no good response. She never apologized. She did offer to see if they could move up the scheduled cremation time, but she followed that by immediately saying it would be difficult because the schedules are set far in advance. So basically, she offered, but knew the answer would be no. I cut her short and said we would keep the schedule as is. We got off the phone shortly after, but I was disappointed. If they had only called before I was forced to call them and had explained that due to circumstances beyond their control our loved one's remains would not be ready within the 15 day window, I would not have gotten so upset. But there was no courtesy from them. There was no contact from them. There was no apology for the breach of the promised 15 day window. For this, I can only give them 2 stars. They need to better train their phone staff on how to deal with customers. And they need to be better about staying in contact with people waiting for their loved ones to be ready. I picked up my mother-in-law today, April 17th, exactly one month after her death. And when I went in, again no apology was given for the delay. I hoped they would bring it up, but they didn't. I didn't want to go through it all again, so I just took my mother-in-law's remains and left. "

" Worst experience EVER!!!! Just buried my father in law in Colorado, entire process from death to cremation to burial was 8 days. We are on day 9 of my brother death in Las Vegas and they are saying another week for his cremation. So he is just sitting in a freezer waiting. On top of it, they hadn't put him on the list of cremation until today although they have had the permit for 4 days, so we get delayed due to their over look and they offer no help just rude staff members asking for more money to rush his cremation up to 2 business days...yes business days, they take the weekends off, so we are screwed no matter what. If they are that busy, they need to work on weekends!!!!!! "
