Millions of seniors and families and long distance drivers set out every year to discover America in their RVs, SUVs and cars loaded full of camping gear, sunscreen, happy kids and of course, the family pet. They'll visit national parks, seashores, mountains and travel hundreds or even thousands of miles from home.
IT can be one of life's most enjoyable and memorable times. But it can also quickly become a nightmare, one of life's most traumatic and heartbreaking events when a beloved pet becomes lost so far from home. Instead of fishing and hiking and campfires, finding your best friend is all consuming and time isn't on your side; you must leave the area in four days to return home to work. Even though you had your pet "Chipped", it will only help if someone takes the pet to a vet for a scan. As you reluctantly drive away amid sobs and tears, you wonder if you will ever see your best friend again.
IN its own neighborhood, the odds of a lost dog being safely recovered are about 3 in 10. But when far from home, those odds skyrocket by almost ten times and for about 20% - 25%, the chances of being safely recovered are nearly ZERO.
WHY?
Because they have either an I.D. with incorrect or outdated contact information or worse, NO I.D. TAG AT ALL!
We also learned that not all I.D. tags are "created equal" and not because some are plastic and some are metal. Successful recoveries increased by 15% when the pets I.D. tag contained "Local" contact information. ("Local" meaning the area where the pet was lost. )
But HOW do folks who travel all across America include "LOCAL" contact information on their pet's I.D. tags when "local" often changes?
FACT: A pet lost while wearing an I.D. tag has an almost 100% better chance of being safely recovered than a pet without a tag.
FACT: A pet lost far from home, even with an I.D. tag is 15% less likely to be safely returned than if lost in its own neighborhood.
FACT: A pet lost while wearing the special Tag-Em-Back tag has a 15%-25% better chance at being recovered.
With our "Partner" program, Tag-Em-Back has the potential of reaching a large percentage of "travelling" pets that are not properly "tagged".
Additionally, with our special Tag-Em-Back tag with "local" addresses and telephone contact numbers, we have devised a method whereby pets lost many miles from home have a 15%-25% better chance of being safely recovered
