93 million miles is a discussion page that seeks to use common sense in helping to steer the direction of global space initiatives.
According to me, the most important goal is to implement a "survival of the species" program. This means that as a result of such a program, humanity is better positioned to survive if something bad happens here on the surface of the Earth.
Breaking such a program down could reveal sub-programs, such as: (1) a program to build technology to deflect objects that would impact our planet, and (2) a program to colonize worlds outside of the earth whose survival is not dependent on the survival of the earth.
This page endeavors to deliver information about global happenings that support the above purpose and also happenings that negatively effect the above purpose; allowing the page user to make or solidify his or her positions.
