Because we love to travel and the thrill of the hunt for the right gift, we came up with the name Maure (pronounced More). The company was started by famous chef Maureen Cavalieri in New York City. Her love of making unforgettable moments through food, presentation, and gifts is coming to life in a whole new way with Maure.

Inspired by their travels, the Maure team has worked with artists from all over the world and right here in Los Angeles to put together a collection of the most beautiful oddities. Many of them are one-of-a-kind creations that you can only find at Maure. Carefully put together in a variety of gift boxes, we promise the receiver will be happy.

Ethics and sustainability in the workplace are very important to us. There should be a living wage and respect and kindness for all people, that's what we think. We did a lot of research to find the most eco-friendly partners and ways of doing business. For example, we found an artist who reuses clay to make beautiful hand-made flowers and zero-waste wine totes. We promise to make the world a better place after we leave it.
