Marion's students have included Harry Connick, Jr., Michael Bublé, & (Grammy-nominated) Rosanna Vitro. He has produced dozens of jazz concert/lectures for Lincoln Center's "Meet The Artist" series, and for the acclaimed Young Audiences Program in New York City's public schools (1995 President's National Arts Award). He is co-founder of the Jazz vocal department at NYU. He is instructor of the advanced vocal class at JazzMobile, and a judge of the annual JazzMobile Jazz Vocal Competition. The group vocal workshop (now located at Small's) has been ongoing at venues in NYC for over 10 years.
Marion tours exotic reaches of the world as a "Jazz Ambassador" for the U.S. State Department and has entertained in concerts and clubs throughout the world. Venues include Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall, and The Blue Note in both New York and Tokyo. He has appeared at numerous international jazz festivals including the Berlin Jazz Festival, and the North Sea Jazz Festival in Holland. Notably, Marion appeared as the original replacement for the late Dave Lambert in the legendary jazz vocal trio Lambert, Hendricks & Ross (Catch Marion's recent reunion with Jon Hendricks and Annie Ross at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HH9p7JE6g_w ), and as soloist with Leonard Bernstein and the NY Philharmonic.
