Ohio Valley Supermarkets was founded by Bob and Sheila Eastman in March 1980.
Ohio Valley Foodland was our first store.
Bob worked for Kroger for 23 years prior to opening his first store.
Bob and Sheila were both from Meigs County, Ohio.
Ohio Valley Foodland opened with a 6 inch blanket of snow on the ground.
Sons Kevin and Brent purchased the company in 2007 and in 2016 rebranded the stores to the current Piggly Wiggly format.
