" So glad I stumbled across this cafe! I am staying near U of M, and wanted a place where I could get breakfast and coffee, which Cafe Jote most definitely delivered on! I ordered the fuul and an iced latte, both of which were so good and well priced. The fuul (stewed fava beans topped with tomatoes, onions, peppers, & yogurt) especially was delicious and very filling--definitely would recommend trying! The ambiance of the cafe is really lovely as well--the interior is really bright with high ceilings and a few tables, and the outdoor patio was a great place to read and sip on my coffee. Finally, Jote himself was fantastic!! He was so sweet and made sure my food and drink were prepared to my liking. A must stop if you are in the area--there is a full espresso menu and many other foods that I'm sure are fantastic. "

" This place is truly a hidden gem. The owners were really welcoming, the service was great, the food was delicious, and the prices were good. They have grab-n-go Ethiopian lentils with injera and a full coffee bar complete with strong espresso and the option of oat milk. I had no problem finding vegan and gluten free options here. "

" Cafe Jote is small and cozy with a beautiful interior and a comfy outdoor dining area. Their coffee is good and strong. I had a latte. The customer service here is phenomenal and I felt very welcome. I would highly recommend Cafe Jote if you're looking for coffee in the West Bank area. "
