We are back in business! Our runway is open as of today. Please note that the turnaround at the end of 23 will remain closed to traffic pending additional repairs. Please continue to check NOTAMs as we will have a one day closure in about 30 days to apply the second coat of marking paint to the runway. Then, again in August or September the runway will be closed for a period of time long enough to repair/rebuild the turnaround at the end of 23. Thank you for your patience during this process.

Our runway will continue to be closed through next week. The contractor has had some weather issues as well as some unanticipated construction issues. But we are getting there and will be fully operational again very soon!

The runway paving project continues. Progress is slow, but after the test strip lab results are back things should speed up.

Runway rehabilitation started this morning. Our runway is closed and will remain so for the duration of the project. Estimated time to completion is two to three weeks.

Big shoutout to the Crossett Fire and Police Department, Ashley County Sheriff's Department, and ProMed Ambulance for the rapid response yesterday morning to the crash here at the airport. We appreciate your response and assistance! Thankfully, the pilot walked away without a single cut.

It's been a busy day at Crossett Municipal Airport. We had a 1956 Piper twin stop in to take on fuel and pick up a passenger, a Phenom 100 light jet stopped by for a business meeting in town and fuel, and a Beech King Air 200 turbo prop came in to bring some medical personnel to do a local clinic. We don't always have three or more planes in a day, but this is the type of air traffic we consistently have here at our airport. People use our airport to conduct business and provide services to our community.

As of today, pilots may access an automated weather advisory for our airport on our unicom frequency. With your radio tuned to our frequency, key your mike 4 times. Within a couple of seconds, the system will provide you with a weather advisory based on the data from our weather station. Please note, this is an advisory only and may not be used for IFR flight planning.

Just search Hamburg, AR and look for Crossett Municipal Airport. Our system updates to the internet every few minutes. Weather advisories will soon be available over the radio to pilot's that are flying in to Crossett. We will update when this becomes available.

Our airport is used by air ambulances to transport patients to other hospitals for more specialized care. This is an Acadian Air King Air that was here picking up a patient for Arkansas Children's Hospital not long ago. We also see traffic from Arkansas Heart Hospital's physicians coming to Crossett to conduct cardiology clinics here at our hospital.

Debby Rihn-Harvey stopped by not too long ago for fuel and lunch/rest. She was on her way to an airshow. Debby Rihn-Harvey is a retired Boeing 737 pilot with Southwest Airlines and competes in airshows in this airplane.

This is a CubCrafters Carbon Cub that visited our airport. The Carbon Cub is a Light Sport aircraft with a high horsepower engine. It is generally a recreational aircraft. This airplane stopped in for fuel and a short rest on a cross country trip.
