Infinity Robotechs
About Infinity Robotechs
We are a First Tech Challenge middle school and high school robotics team from Peters Township. Through the FIRST Tech Challenge we learn about robotics.
We are a group of students that belong to a FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Tech Challenge robotics team in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. Our team is a brand new “rookie” robotics team that is comprised of High School and Middle School students from Peters Township.
Through the FIRST Tech Challenge we learn about robotics, engineering, computer programming, marketing, problem solving, and competing. We design, build, and program our team robot to accomplish specific tasks in a competitive environment. But FIRST Tech Challenge is much more. We learn about team work, respect, integrity, and community in a hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) environment. You can learn about the FIRST Tech Challenge on you-tube, http://www.youtube.com/user/FIRSTTechChallenge, or you can visit the website, http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/ftc.
We are asking for your financial support. In order to compete in this extraordinary opportunity in the world of robotics, our team must raise monies in addition to the participation fee our families pay. Our team consists of 7th through 10th graders. We have adult mentors (many are our parents) as well as high school FIRST Tech Challenge team members who are volunteering their time to teach us programming, electrical wiring, physical robot building, and much more. Your support will enable us to purchase our robot parts and programming software and to register for competitions. Our budget is raised entirely by the team through corporate sponsorships and individual and family donations. Your financial support to our team will meet the requirements of a 501(c)(3) tax deductible gift. Our PA non profit company name is Inifinity Robotics, Inc.
