The Lungs at Work Clinic helps men and women who have difficulty breathing. Although we specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of Black Lung and other work-related pulmonary diseases, we welcome all who have difficulty breathing. If you get short of breath while doing the simple activities of your daily life the Lungs at Work Clinic is here to help you.

The Lungs at Work staff will work with your family doctor to provide comprehensive care for your shortness of breath. Our goal is to effectively diagnose and treat your breathing problems so that you can enjoy an optimal quality of life. We want you to live life to the fullest!

Lungs at Work receives a Federal Black Lung grant funds to supplement payment for care given to clinic users. If you are insured, your insurance will be billed for eligible medical services. If you are uninsured or underinsured, services are offered based on a sliding fee scale. No one will be denied care based on their ability to pay.

The staff at Lungs at Work also assists people with claims for Federal Black Lung benefits. All benefit work done on your behalf at the clinic will be done at no charge. This includes assistance in filling out confusing applications and the mounds of paperwork that can accompany them. We will also assist you in gathering and developing the evidence for your claim, submitting the evidence, and we will even represent you if your case goes to court. We only ask that you pay for the costs associated with developing your medical evidence. We want to see you receive the benefits for which you qualify.
