A gathering of Japanese culture enthusiasts looking to share our knowledge of the wonderful art forms of Anime and Manga, learn new things, and have fun! Knowledge of Japanese culture and animation is not a prerequisite, we're looking for exciting new people eager to explore the world of Anime and fan culture.

The Mount Pleasant Anime Club looks to promote understanding and viewing of Manga and Anime in our community and across the world. We support doing so only through legitimate channels and as such benefit the Anime and Manga communities as a whole.
Due to the difficulty of purchasing physical copies of manga and anime in our area many turn to viewing them through the internet and the internet is rife with illegally scanlated content or bootleg anime. Viewing manga or anime through illegal means can be incredibly detrimental to the creators we all know and love.

While most of the resources posted on this note are free, some websites are for profit companies due to the commercial nature of the medium while the Mount Pleasant Anime Club remains a non-profit organization sponsored by the Mount Pleasant Free Public Library and unaffiliated with any of these paid streaming websites.
