" You might want to get a drink and sit down for this one. It is interesting to read such negative responses right next to glorious responses. In the case of this establishment I truly believe the employees and owners wrote the glorious ones. This is truely a screwed up place. Here is my story. I dropped off a 2009 Dodge Caliber with the cvt transmission. I was told they have a inhouse mechanic that is certified on thrse transmissions. After a few weeks I have not heard anything. So I called. They were busy and have not touched it yet. I was not in a hurry, I was setting up a taxi service in Sumter and this was going to be the first car, so I waited. The next time I called I spoke with Ryan, he was cool. He was a mechanic but was acting manager. I explained my situation how no one was calling and that I needed my car. He stated that they took the car to the local Dodge dealer to get it flashed, AND FORGOT IT WAS THERE. He stated that the dealer had to call them to come and get the car.Now Ryan was cool and would call me with updates to the progress with my car. Oh the tech had a death in the family. Oh the rebuilt ttransmission is coming in. I waited 5 months (count them five) for the car to be done. Ryan expressed his concern for the delays and stated we will be discounting heavily on this bill and will do it for basic cost. Around $1500. Ok that works. The car is finally done and Ryan is no longer there. A girl whose name began with an a was now the manager. She hands me the bill $2300+. The $1500 was typed in by the computer and the balance was wtitten in by hand. And here is the best part. She gave me all the info with the bill. Here is where it gets good. The bastards got a core from a company and were charged a core credit of $100.00. Then they charged me $100.00 for the core credit. I called the company where they bought the core and Aamco received the $100.00 back on January 2 2017. They are profiting on the $100.00 core. I called and complained the regional manager Mike. He told me they are allowed to do that. Six months later the transmission is dead. Less than 13000 miles. Their warranty is only for three months. So I am screwed. Do not take your vehicle here. They are useless. LD Walkers in west Columbia are honest brokers on the tranny game. They have my business from now on. Now off to the consumer affairs office to file charges. 5 months for nothing. Good luck folks. "

" Terrible service. Cars up on blocks in front, behind and beside the building. Bad location, hard to get in and out of because of traffic. Staff is rude. Appointments are lost or forgotten. They were closed during operating hours during appointment times and do not return phone calls. "

" Awesome customer service! I got straight forward answers about my car problems and a repair that fixed exactly what needed to be fixed, not any unnecessary costs or repairs. I will never take my car anywhere else again! "

" I have had my car worked on by this AAMCO a couple times this year, and have received great service each time. They were honest and realistic about all my options for repairs, even ones that didn’t get them any money. Their pricing is reasonable, and they were willing to work with me. The staff was knowledgable and very friendly. I’d recommend everyone check them out. "
