The Duncan Police Department has 22 sworn officers serving our community. Five of our officers serve full time in District Five Schools, and six are reserve officers. The Duncan Police Department strives to maintain an exemplary level of professionalism by following our mission statement below:

Our mission is clear: To provide for the safety and security of the citizens of the Town, by serving and protecting the public interests and constitutionally guaranteed liberties of the individual through:
Enforcement of applicable laws and ordinances
Preservation of the peace and domestic tranquility
Promotion of crime prevention
Investigation of criminal activity
Identification and arrest of those suspected of crime
Advocacy of, and assistance to, those victimized by crime
Secure incarceration of those suspected or convicted of crime
Protection of the judicial process
• Service of warrants and judicial mandates
Control of traffic and the enforcement of traffic laws
Provision of humanitarian aid and assistance in times of crisis
Release of necessary and appropriate public information
Maintenance of the highest standards of ethics and training

While we provide many diverse and unique services to a diverse and unique community here in Duncan, all our efforts are consistently focused on prevention, control and suppression of crime.
