Description

We are a family oriented club of brothers and sisters who love and build their own hot rods. We are based in the Carolinas and have local rides every four months. President of the club is Jim Burrell.

Promoting 1966 and older home built hot rod cars and trucks.
All hot rods are cool. Some prefer the newer model hot rods. Some cannot build it themselves, so they get one professionally built. Some can build it themselves, but rather had someone else build it for them for various reasons. There is nothing wrong with any of these methods of building a hot rod.

We are just hard core hot rodders who grew up building our own hot rods and love the older cars.
"I built my first hot rod when I was still in high school. It was a 1923 T Roadster with a special heavy duty frame, Studebaker engine and transmission, a 9" Ford rear-end and a '23 T-bucket body. I worked every day after school, just to be able to buy the next part I needed (apart from saving a little money for dating!). It was very satisfying to complete each piece of that car. I usually stayed broke, but I was, and always will be, a hard core hot rodder.
Back when I was in high school you could go to the junk yard to get old cars and parts to build your own hot rod. I even picked up some of my 23-T parts from an old farmer that had some 23-T original rusty parts hanging in the roof of a couple old sheds he had out back." - Jim Burrell

Definition of a REAL hard core hot rodder:
We consider hot rods as the most wonderful art that you could master. We get excited, especially when we find a real hot rodder that builds his own hot rods. We really love old tin. We are more impressed by a home-built part that someone made instead of just buying a part and putting it on a hot rod.
We love hot rods, rat rods, rusty hot rods, hot rods that have missing parts, ugly hot rods, and shiny nice hot rods.
We are people from all walks of life and all different ages who unify under our club, the Hard Core Hot Rodders Association.
