The South Carolina State University Office of Student Media is composed of a newspaper (The Collegian), yearbook (The Bulldog), television station (Bulldog Television) and magazine (Stated). The Collegian and the Bulldog boasts a long and storied history with their origins beginning in the 1920s. Student Media is staffed by devoted student.

Student Media is open to anyone interested in joining. Members are able to earn valuable work experience as well as learn about the multitude of aspects of journalism and media as a whole. Included in the wide array of activities involved with being a productive member of Student Media is photography, videography, newspaper and magazine design as well as learning to write and edit video footage and photographs.
