Everything overall was good except for the crab salad that I ordered. There were rotten lettuce leaves blended in with edible ones (I say edible because they still weren’t fresh).
For a $7.50 for a medium sized salad, there weren’t a lot of greens either. The avocado also didn’t look as fresh and I would’ve expected and outside of the crab & dressing, that was all that was in this salad. "

" I've been going here regularly for about the past 2 years. I've never had a bad experience, and the food is great. I always go for the sushi. I would recommend going earlier that normal for dinner; you'll essentially have the place to yourselves. "

" This was my first time at sakitumi and I was not impressed. A friend recommended this restaurant for Thursday’s because they have a good deal on sushi (50 cents per piece) which if you compare to tsunami is a $1 dollar cheaper. But the quality of the sushi is not there compared to tsunami. The quantity of insides of the sushi severely lacks compared to tsunami. Also the major reason I am writing this review is to express how frustrating it was to wait over an hour and a half for our food: which there were four of us and we ordered sushi and a lettuce wrap which are very simple foods especially due to them being a sushi restaurant. The restaurant was not busy at all, but there was one larger party, which any restaurant should be able to handle. Our server was a very very nice man and knew what he was doing. And their fried rice is phenomenal which are the only reasons I am giving them a 2 star rating. "

" Last night was the first/last time at Sakitumi. It was the first time I had a spider roll ($14-15) without any crunch what so ever! The plate presentation was bland as well as the sushi rolls. I don't typically like soy sauce with my sushi, but it was sorely needed. Not sure why, but our table as well as all the tables I could see only had low sodium soy sauce on them. Not sure if this is typical for this restaurant around 7-8pm on a Saturday night, but the restaurant had plenty of open tables. Our server did a good job. She was attentive with both drinks and clearing the table of empty plates. "

" Always a good time. Great bar and serving staff. Can have a party-ish atmosphere sitting at the bar, or a private meal sitting back against the windows, with a good middle ground at the tables. "

" This is probably one of the worst sushi restaurants I have ever eaten at. Maybe in a college town the students don't know any better. A poor menu and a staff more interested in hanging out drinking and trying to be cool. I have tried this restaurant twice now due to it being right next to the hotel I stay at when I'm in town on business. I won't be going back again. "
