As a female in a male-dominated field ladies have always been subjected to masculine colored and styled accessories. Most accessories, such as trumpet mouthpiece pouches and mute bags, are only available in black and/or leather. Hot Chops Co. offers a plethora of colorful alternatives that would be appealing to all musicians. HCC mouthpiece pouches can be customized from the interior to the exterior fabric selections and even velcro color to completely coordinate your pouch.

During my undergrad, my friend and colleague Alex Smith, nicknamed me HotChops Hart. This name came about while he and I went back and forth playing lead in the pep band. As a female, he was surprised that I could keep nailing the high notes time after time. Honestly, I was just cutting loose and having a great time in the band. My parents picked up on the name and had an airbrushed license plate made that said Hot Chops. This name could not be more appropriate for brass players and even percussionists around the world since we talk about our "chops" all the time! I hope you all enjoy our products and hearing about the beginnings of Hot Chops Co.
