Katie Lynne's Piano Instruction

I have been taking piano lessons for ten years and am continuing my lessons in Nashville from a professional. I have also played for church worship services. I have a desire to share the joy of learning and playing the piano with others, and to encourage them to use their natural abilities and talents for the glory of God.
During the lesson time I will listen to the student play the previous week’s assigned work, and will check their theory to make sure they have a solid understanding of everything they are learning. Then I will assign work for the next week. I also encourage the use of a fun book that will excite the students such as classical, popular, or hymns. There will be certain practice expectations which I ask the parents to encourage and enforce. Younger students will be expected to practice at least 15 minutes 4-7 days a week; older students will be expected to practice 30 minutes 4-7 days a week. Any assignments not completed during the week will take away from our lesson time and cause the student to fall behind their full potential.
