Statement of Faith for Grace Heaven's Gateway Church
We are a Non-denominational Christian Organization
(also, known as inter-denominational)

Our purpose is to answer the calling of God to advance the gospel, and unite the body of Christ. For these reasons, we choose to look past our denominational backgrounds for sake of the cross; even more the empty tomb.


Before going to the cross, Jesus makes clear His perspective of a Christian testimony that leads others to salvation:

"As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world...I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me" (John 17:18-21; ESV).

The Apostle Paul also reminds us:
"Therefore, accept each other in the same way that Christ accepted you.
He did this to bring glory to God" (Romans 15:7).


With these passages in mind, we accept membership from Baptist, Methodist, Assembly of God, Pentecostal, Non-denominational backgrounds (and the like which are distinctly Christian).


However, we find that the faith of Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses to be inconsistent with our fundamental beliefs about the divinity of Christ and His purpose for the church. Therefore, we do not encourage people holding these views to apply. While our Christian members may vary about smaller issues such as the administration of communion, baptisms, etc., below is a declaration of faith upon which all our membership affirms.
Our goal here is not to cover every point of theology proper, but rather to be sure that we share the same understanding and faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.


* We exalt Him as our only hope and source for the forgiveness of sin, and the grace of salvation.
* There is no other "way" (religion, etc.) by which to know the Father, then through the Son (John 14:6).
* Jesus said that He is the Door (singular), and any other path is taken by thieves (John 10:8).

We hold all 66 books of the Bible as the only inspired word of God; acceptable and sacred Holy Scripture.
We do not acknowledge the Apocrypha, Psuedopigrapha, Gnostic Gospels, Book of Mormon, or anything of the like to be divinely inspired.

We believe that the God of Christianity (Yahweh-Jesus-Holy Spirit) is the creator of all things, is all-powerful, all-knowing, and sovereign to do as He wills.

Article III
We believe that God is one, but reveals Himself thorough the roles of three persons:
The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.
Therefore, we believe that each person of this structure is equally God.

We believe that Jesus was literally conceived and born as flesh and blood of a virgin named Mary.

We confess that all of humanity has fallen short of God's glory and is in need of salvation; hence the reason Jesus came to the earth.

Salvation

We proclaim that Jesus lived a sinless life; thereby, being qualified to forgive our sins with His blood.

We declare that salvation is in none other than through the name, person, work, life, death, resurrection, and grace of Jesus Christ alone. Further we believe that Jesus Christ was literally (bodily) resurrected from the dead and alive forever more, ruling with the Father.
