“To all who are spiritually weary and seek rest; to all who mourn and long for comfort; to all who struggle and desire victory; to all who sin and need a Savior; to all who are strangers and want fellowship; to all who hunger and thirst after righteousness; and to all who will come, this church opens wide her doors and offers welcome in the name of Jesus Christ.”
This statement, on the front of the PCPC bulletin every Sunday, expresses our desire to be a ministry that welcomes all college students. The gospel of grace is a message of hope, not because of who we are, but because of who God is and what he has done in Christ. No matter who you are or what you’ve done, we hope that you will find the love and acceptance of Jesus Christ at PCPC.
THE COLLEGE CLASS
The college class is a Sunday morning community for college students at PCPC. We meet at 11:00 a.m. in Room 303, and many of us worship together at 9:30 in the sanctuary. Join us for a time of casual fellowship and interactive teaching. All college students are welcome.
For the next few weeks, we're going to start off the semester with a series, "What I Learned in College." I want to share a few things the Lord taught me in college that changed my perspective on life.
RUF @ SMU
We love partnering with RUF at SMU. RUF (or Reformed University Fellowship) is the campus ministry in our denomination (the Presbyterian Church in America). A number of PCPC members are involved as volunteer leaders with RUF at SMU. If you’re an SMU student—or even if you’re not—we’d love to introduce you to RUF. During the school year, RUF has a large group gathering at 7:30 on Tuesday nights in the Varsity. There are a number of small groups that meet throughout the week as well. To learn more about RUF at SMU, check out the website (http://www.rufsmu.com).
