" If you wanna enjoy the views with some nice photo backdrops then add this place on your list. Although it’s a bar on top of a fancy hotel.. it’s not the best one out there. Very limited menu, limited and uncomfortable seating, bad lighting, but music was good. They stop serving food at 8pm and close at 12pm. "

" Z on 23 is inside of The La Meridian Hotel. This is for the view and drinks. This is a cool place for a first date where you can talk over drinks. The food is very mediocre but it’s bar food to soak up liquor, not meant to be gourmet.

Valet takes a while, it’s much faster to park your own car. The view is amazing of downtown Houston. If you don’t drink… you will literally just be sitting here for the view.

The music situation is subpar. The music is soft enough to talk over it if any is playing at all. There are a lot of small things that could make this place 100 times better. But it was cool for what it was. "

" Around 11:30 pm it gets pretty crowded on a Saturday night. Great place to start the night in downtown. Place closes at midnight but the views of Houston is amazing from this rooftop. Definitely a photo op. Cocktails I'll give it a 8/10 and the prices are from $13-16.

" Z on 23 is a nice rooftop bar. You go to the hotel, buy your tickets and go to the 23rd floor.

The food selection is minimal. I got the ceviche bowl with plantain chips because I'm a pescatarian. The fish was a little fishy which leaves me to believe it wasn't freshly prepared. Considering their menu I wish they had a couple more options such as chips and salsa, fish tacos, or something simple to snack on. I couldn't eat the hummus because I'm allergic.

Either way, the scenery is nice, it's a great option for hanging out with friends, you can have a small gathering or birthday party. Our drinks were in plastic cups, I had the sangria and my friend the Cabernet. For such a classy location, those items should be in glasses. Especially since we were seated.

The crowd was mixed, the music was a mixture of hip hop, pop, and dance. I parked in the garage which is $22. Street parking is limited. "

" Nice views but not the biggest place. Be sure to bring cash (faster service). Street parking is free after 6 pm. "
