" I use to go to Surf'n Swim growing up. It was fun taking classes and going swimming there. I even loved the teachers and staff. However I didn't like the fact that children with disabilities don't have the requirements needed for before and after pool use and only 1 family bathroom with just a toilet and a sink and paper towels. It makes it very difficult for single parents w/children that have disabilities because they don't have access to what they need (like a shower and lockers also needed special permission to go through the center for access to the pool with bubble up for the cold session) It's locked up. They expect your kid with disabilities to go and do everything on their own like take a shower etc. when not capable and send them out to go to the girl's or boy's bathroom according to the gender just to get to the pool and to trust a stranger or staff member to bring them through on their own accord. It's taking a major risk for kids with disabilities if they are the opposite gender because anything can happen while responsible parent can't be there. Waiting and hoping that their child will be ok until they get to the other side. Talked to managers about it they didn't care. Sooo disappointed.... "

" Great pool for families. The food isn't great but it will fill you up. Good wave pool "

" The staff are biased if not outright prejudice against people who are not white. They targeted young people in our group that are obviously not Caucasian and singled them out for discipline while allowing Caucasian children to do the exact same behaviors with no reprimands. Moreover they did not allow a girl to swim in a t-shirt and bra when the boys all had t-shirts and shorts on. Blatant sexism and racism is rampant here!!!!! "

" While many reviews seem to be super critical, they seem to have super high expectations. This is a city pool with young staff.
We thought the wave pool is a blast (why are people complaining about a wave pool when it's clearly marked as such?). There's also a playground, a 2nd pool, raquetball, a little concession stand, locker rooms, and even a sauna. I'd go again hands down. "

" Pretty lame really. Nothing for kids to do but float around and Waite for the waves. Apart from that, staff seems they don't want to be there, very plain vanilla. Don't waste your time here. "

" Unfortunately the bad reviews are correct. Very stupid rules that are dangerous in the way they are enforced/not enforced. Horrible customer service and and actually, even when there are so many cute little kid running around, shin is shining and summer days happy days.... Somehow staff here, year after year find the gloom where there is none to find. Perfect example of how much they don't care, no management feedback "

" Had a party reserved from 7-10pm was told by the staff that we had to get out of the pool due to lighting. The sky's were clear with not a cloud in the sky at 830, was also informed by staff that there was no refund would be issued by staff that did not want to be there in the first place. Thanks guys awesome customer service!! "

" It gets really busy and the layout means full on sprinting to make sure said toddler doesn't get to the other pool to drown otherwise lots of shade trees and great "

" This is the sugar free vanilla of pools, and it's so obviously run by the government by the way the rules are enforced and the rules themselves.

In the positive side, it was pretty empty considering it was the fourth of July weekend.
We rented two tubes, and they only had the tiny ones left. I can't imagine what it's like when they are crowded.

Here are a few examples of the wave pool rules:
They don't allow anyone without a tube to go deeper than four feet during the waves (which aren't anywhere near as big as seven peaks).
If you have a kid using a life jacket, they can't go deeper than four feet...ever, even on a tube. So our kids we got the tubes for could only go deep if they removed their life jackets (wait what?), and even then they couldn't be accompanied by a swimming adult.

It gets crazier, an adult on a tube is able to take an infant (one year old) on his lap as long as the infant DOESN'T wear a life jacket (literally saw this and the lifeguards didn't care), they also allow people to stand up on their tubes.

They don't allow you to stack tubes, which I get and agree with. However the only times I saw this enforced was lifeguards yelling at adults in ankle deep water trying to hold on to tubes their kids weren't playing with. Saw this twice.

I'm surprised they allow water in the pool, and two piece swimsuits. Then again, it's a perfect place for Layton, where everyone drives five under the limit. (I actually really love Layton).

It is clear that whoever put these rules together is a bureaucrat who has never actually read them or been to a swimming pool.

Admission was $26 for a family of five with two tubes, not worth it. "

" Nice place to take the kids. They don't let you go past 4ft if you don't rent a tube which I found was ridiculous. There are much better pools around but it was fun for the day. 3 people 1 adult 2 kids was $14. Not worth it "
