Amy Howard Paint Products, new to the Evansville area, are becoming more popular. The One-Step paint requires NO SANDING OR STRIPPING. Once you clean your piece of furniture, you are ready to start painting. BUT be prepared to complete a project in a day, as the paint dries in 30-40 minutes, so the second coat can be applied immediately. This is SO NICE. You do not have to apply wax, but do think about how the piece of furniture will be used. If it's a table and will have drinks sat on it, then it's advisable to apply light wax. The wax cures the one-step paint and in 90 days no water rings will be left on your newly refurbished piece of furniture. How wonderful is that!
If you like a high gloss sheen. Amy Howard has a High Performance Furniture Lacquer. I love to use lacquer but have no means to paint indoors, so I have to wait for nice weather and no breezes so that I can take the project outdoors. Nothing wrong with that either as I love being outside!
Lastly we carry AHAH powder paint. This product is mixed equal parts water and powder paint. Only to be used on stripped or raw new wood. It is such a beautiful finish and so worth the added steps to acquire.
