DOCTRINAL STATEMENT

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to man, the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and is superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason. (II Tim. 3:15-17; I Peter 1:23-25; Heb. 4:12)

We believe there is absolutely one living and true God, of infinite power, wisdom and glory; eternal in His existence, Maker and Preserver of all things. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 44:8; 45:5-6, 21-23; 46:9 Romans 3:30; Galatians 3:20; James 2:19). This one true God has revealed Himself as Father, through His Son, in redemption; and as the Holy Ghost in spiritual action. (1 Cor. 8:6; Eph.4:6; 2 Cor. 5:19; Joel 2:28)

We believe Jesus Christ is the one God incarnate, the Word of the Father, the manifestation of God Himself in the flesh. He is the union of absolute deity and sinless humanity. (Colossians 2:9; Isaiah 9:6; 35:4-6; Matthew 1:23; John 1:1-14; 8:58; 10:30; 14:9-11; 20:28; 2 Corinthians 5:19; 1 Timothy 3:16; Titus 2:13). Jesus is our Savior; He suffered, was crucified, died, was buried, and rose from the dead, for our total salvation (Luke 3:21-22; Phil. 2:5-11). His name is the only name given for our salvation. (Matthew 1:21; Acts 4:12).

We believe in the Holy Ghost, whom is God indwelling, empowering and regenerating the believer. This Holy Ghost is called the Comforter. The Spirit of Truth. (John 14:17, 14:26).

We believe all humans have sinned and need salvation from eternal death (Romans 3:23; 6:23). The blood of Jesus Christ atones for our sins and iniquity. It is through His shed blood that we are saved, healed, and set free from bondage and the forces of darkness. (Rom. 5:9-11; Eph1: 7; Rev. 12:11).

We believe in justification by faith. Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, based on His redemptive work and not in our works (Romans 3:21-25; Ephesians 2:8-9).

We believe saving faith involves obedience to the gospel (Romans 1:5; 6:17; 10:16; 16:26; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10; Hebrews 5:9; 11:6-8;). The proper response to the gospel message is to repent, be water baptized by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. (Acts 2:4, 38-39; John 3:5; Acts 8:12-17; 10:44-48; 19:1-6; 1 Corinthians 6:11).

We believe pardon and forgiveness of sins is obtained by genuine repentance, a confessing and forsaking of sins. We are justified by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Rom. 5:1). John the Baptist preached repentance, Jesus proclaimed it, and the apostles emphasized it to both Jews and Gentiles (Acts 2:38, 11:18, 17:30). The word “repentance” means a change of views and purpose, change of heart, change of mind, change of life. Jesus said, “Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3).

We believe in sanctification. Sanctification delivers from the power and dominion of sin (Acts 26:18; 1 John 1:9). We must wash and renew our minds daily by the word of God. We must learn His ways and exchange our way of thinking for His. (Romans 12: 1-2; Ephesians 4:23-29; Philippians 4:8). Godly living and the pursuit of a holy life should be the goal of every believer. (Hebrews 12:14; Phil. 3:14).

We believe in divine healing as in the atonement. (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matt. 8:16-17; Mark 16:14-18; James 5:14-16). It is God’s will to heal and deliver His people today as He did in the days of the first Apostles. We have authority over illness, disease, demons, curses, and every circumstance in life. (Luke 10:19; 2 Cor. 10:4-5; 1 Peter 2:24).

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her great commission. Each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the general assembly and Church of the firstborn, which are written in Heaven (Ephesians 1:22; 2:19-22; Hebrews 12:23).

We believe in worshipping God in spirit and truth. Praising Him with our whole being, in song, dance, and with raising of our hands. (Psalm 150:1-6; John 4:24). Every believer must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Each person has a ministry from God, which is especially given to them. We believe God ministers to His people through the gifts of the Holy Spirit. (John 15:1-5; Romans 12: 3-13; 2 Cor.12:1-11).

We believe that eternal life with God in heaven is a portion of the reward of the righteous; and that everlasting expulsion from the prescence of the Lord and unending torture in hell are the wages of the persistently wicked.(Matt.25:46; Psalm 9: 17; Rev.21:7-8).

We believe in the imminent, personal, pre-millennial second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17; Titus 2:13: 2 Peter 3:1-4; Matt. 24: 29-44) and love and wait for His appearing (2 Timothy 4:8).
