" I was at Parklands when i was 27 years old, i stayed for almost a week. I was afraid and scared it was my first time in hospital. Every single person was so awesome and amazing, they made my stay there so comfortable. 10 years later Parklands is still so wonderful. Everything revamped and looking good, but the service and excellence is still so perfect. Keep up the great work. Best hospital in Gauteng :) "

" I gave birth at the Old stMarys Womens Clinic in 2013, the hospital was old and falling apart although the staff were amazing and friendly at their Maternity ward and Just for that I vouched to return, was clean and comfortable really had a great experience :) ..The NICU though I encountered issues with the nurses there unfortunately :( , one discouraging me visiting my daughter everyday even going as far as telling me I must go out, to have fun and have a drink?? I mean I was breastfeeding for crying out loud! And how does one have fun when you're child is sick??! Another one telling me not to touch my baby because I'm disturbing her?! when all I was doing is sooth her! I later found out that they had a problem with me being there Everyday All Day because they are not Free?? I was stunned and wondered what happens when I'm not around..do they sit back and not work and me being there makes them want to do their job??! Was very disturbing to say the least, was glad the day my daughter got discharged.

2016 I welcomed a baby girl :) and because of the experience I had at StMarys I returned.. WOW not only did they move to a nice new hospital, the staff there had changed, the old staff were lazy, talking throughout the night, had attitude, bossy towards the trainees, not helpful to a point my husband had to complain to management, they apologized we accepted but damaged was already done won't change the experience! I pittied the trainees shame and I hope they'll stay helpful and friendly. Then I witnessed 1 staff member swamped with so much work when there were other staff members around who could've helped her,, to a point the pediatrician had to shout at her for her disorganization and keeping a child who was supposed to be in the NICU in an incubator in the baby room! to add to that my baby girl and I were discharged and to our arrival at home only to be called to come back because the said nurse discharged my daugher and later was found that she didn't check her jaundice and it was really high :( I spent another 3 days in kids ward, 2 days C-section sleeping on the recliner my feet got so swollen my husband told managed and a camp stretcher was brought in,it did help but I was already annoyed by the experience! It doesn't end there.. The 6 weeks clinic visit the nurse at the clinic told me to go back to the hospital because my daughter was discharged without being given the first vaccine!!!!!!! "

" Had a baby recently. If I ever do get pregnant again I will not go there. My doctor didn't pitch, and didn't even bother to show up after the birth. Staff are incompetent to the point where the locum doctor threw his equipment down and walked out of the maternity ward. Then there the infernal 'lets cry racism', which by the way is rife at St. Mary's. The food was the worst I have ever tasted in my entire life, including the coffee, I've been on hospitals before, it was never this horrible. And not to mention that my child was taken by one of the staff on duty while I was on a phone call. Then when i went to fetch my child I couldn't find the woman, after running around like a crazy person. I then go to the other lady's on duty and request that they phone her. And they joke around, ah hah hah she took your child to Springs. I mean really. How unprofessional. Then when I return there she is sitting like she's been there all the time. No apology. And then I get treated like I'm at fault. Plus not to mention that these woman talk so loud all night long, right outside my door. And as if birthing isn't strenuous enough and some privacy and peace is required, my bathroom, which by the way is right opposite the second desk, gets used all night long. No, not cleaning, not coming to check my vitals, just these women using the loo while one is trying to sleep. Oh and not to mention the wonderful, friendly security staff outside the ward..went outside and she asked me if I have a pass out, to which I replied no one said anything about it when I asked to come out. Her response, if anything happens to you outside no one will help you because you don't have the pass and it will then be your problem what happens to you. Oh really? So I faint outside a hospital door and won't get assistance because a silly little paper that not one soul in the ward told me about. So this is why I pay exorbitant amounts of money to my medical aid. To be left outside A HOSPITAL to die. Thank you St. Mary's. My previous two children were born at St. Mary's when it was a proper woman's hospital in Springs. This new hospital is despicable. Learnt my lesson, albeit a hard one. Definitely not going back there. And would never recommend it to any woman expecting. Look there were a few friendly staff members like the lady who always looked after my baby when I took a stroll and Sr Salie. Nice people. Almost helped make the stay bearable. "

" PATHETIC, if this is the way your staff treat a customer that want's to find out about one of your staff to get her phone number and keep me 5 minutes and 38 seconds Rosland was her name hope she never had to care for me, because by the time she had to see to me I might be dead already,. your staff on the switchboard just as PATHETIC.
I do not live there the call was from Klerksdorp, your hospital will DEFINATELY not be recommended to anybody. I've heard from people that live in Springs how the hospital had decline, well I had the experience today. "
