" My husband fell and broke his hip. He stayed a week in Pholosong Hospital, during which he had a hip replacement. He received excellent care from all the nurses and doctors. The hospital is very clean and the staff, friendly and caring. I am impressed. Thank you to all the staff. "

" I was in Pholosong hospital on the 31st due to pains instead of the 12th of October 2017 as scheduled according to my referral. When I was dropped there, the nurses at the emergency area were not so pleased with me and they asked me why did I not go there earlier and I told them I didn't have money for transport but to them it was just an excuse.

The doctor examined me and admitted me because I was previous ceaser. I was completely discriminated against and ill-treated by most nurses there. My experience was intolerable and traumatic from that very night until I was discharged on the 5th of November. I have used public health facilities but this was gross discrimination aimed to embush and demean me because I was a private clinic patient who used a public hospital due to financial constraints.

I was treated as an outpatient, most of night staff were brutally rude, disrespectful and mean.
1. I was told to do my bed,
2. They refused to give me hospital night dress so I stayed in my clothes until I was booked,
3.The bathroom sanitation was horrible , toilets were dirty even public toilets are better and all patients had to use a single toiled roll for the entire day,
4. I was given diabetic patients' food,
5. I was shouted at and accused of disrespect if answered my phone,
6. One nurse poured soap in my water bottle and I bought it so I can use it to drink water, she compressed my bladder with a heart beat sensor belt all the time and it caused me severe pain, she threw pads on the floor so I can bend down on first night of my operation,
7.They roughly inserted the urine tube and pulled it out as a result I was left with severe pain,
8. They moved all patients I was with and left me alone and only was booked late after complaining,
9. They captured wrong information in my file
10. My bed linens were never changed at all but other patients were, I stayed in a dirty and wet bed because the nurse administered a leaking IV at night,
11. I could hardly sleep due to noise, bright lights kept on just at my bed's direction and fearing for my life and my baby.

At one point there was a patient who they claimed was mentally ill only at night who scared all of us, she took seringe with needles on it and tried to hurt nurses at night and particularly looked at me. I don't really know if she was truly crazy or they were just trying to intimidate me. I was in appalled and astonished at the manner in which I was treated. Other patients as well were yelled at by a few staff, for going to hospital late or for just being pregnant. It was ridiculous, shameful, a disgrace how hospitals and clinics fail to honour their own mandate. Her name was Sisanda.

Most nurses are practically evil, unethical, evil, disrespectful, have no nursing skills and have no clue how to care for patients. I have given birth in a public hospital before but was never treated like an animal and I would never recommend this hospital in particular to anyone. "
