Description

In August 2016 we officially launched: The 529 Social.

An experience which is specifically tailored for the lifestyle of young professionals in and around business hubs. It’s a space where young professional’s stressful and challenging 9 to 5 is met by a great 5 to 9 Social to distress. This bespoke after work social event aims remain an exclusive gathering created for corporate young professionals who wish to mingle, distress and network after their 9 to 5 with like minded people.

How it works

Every month corporate guests (young professionals) are exclusively invited to attend the 529 Social which takes place twice a month at an exclusive venue in Durban. 20 exclusive guests receive hand delivered hampers which consists of a complimentary bottle of Bain’s Whisky, Snacks and Treats and of course the invites to the next 529 Social. 180 additional guests are invited via email, which prompts them to RSVP in order to book their spot on guestlist. Upon arrival at the event guests are met by hostess who welcome them, tick off their names on the guestlist, and provide them with an entry tag. Guests are than showed into the venue to experience and enjoy the 529 Social with like-minded people.

The Platform:

To facilitate easy correspondence and engagement for you (the young professional), we have created The Boardroom After 5. This is a digital platform which allows you to RSVP, view the latest pics from the previous events and get the lowdown on up and coming events. Better yet, our Board members can also have the option to download high quality pics at the leisure. We will continuously optimise this platform to make it easy to engage with our guests, and ensure that we have the freshest and most up to date content.

Our Host

It an experience proudly hosted by Bain’s Whisky, Bain’s Cape Mountain whisky is a single grain whisky that is produced at the James Sedgwick Distillery in South Africa. It is named after a pioneering Scotsman engineer named Andrew Geddes Bain. In the 1850s he was responsible for designing and building the Bainskloof Pass, which cuts through the mountains near to the distillery. The whisky is made using only South African grain and was the first ever South African single grain whisky to be released. It was first released in 2009 and has since racked up a large amount of awards from competitions across the globe.
