" In August 2023 my daughter and I traveled to South Africa and Zimbabwe Jenman African Safaris. I absolutely loved my experience with the company! Our consultant Marietjie understood my requirements and interests from the start and proposed an amazing child friendly tour for me and my 7 year old daughter. I greatly appreciate Marietjie's prompt responses, especially considering I booked the trip with only three weeks' notice. We enjoyed every moment of our trip and I would like to thank Jenman for making our travel memorable!!! Can highly recommend the company! "

" Excellent information in advance about the trip and accommodations. The guide Norbert Ndlovu Mahoza led the tour excellently, he was very flexible and allowed us plenty of time to view everything calmly. Thanks to his "eagle" eyes we have seen a lot of extra birds and animals. He has an excellent knowledge of birds and gave us a lot of information during the tour. He created a cozy atmosphere in our international group of 14 people.
We stayed in beautiful lodges in dream locations. Thanks to the small group and always two jeeps during the game drives, we were able to take many beautiful pictures. All drivers also did their utmost during the trip to make us feel comfortable on the often difficult roads. "

" My husband and I travelled with Jenman Safaris on their 11-Day Botswana Lodge trip. We had a wonderful time and the trip was awesome. Our guides were fantastic and we ended up with a really great group of 12 travellers from across the world, and had a lot of fun. The lodgings were varied - from resort style, to a cabin/chalet right along the river bank, to permanent tents set up in the bush in the middle of nowhere! Although it was at the end of the rainy season and there was lots of standing water all over (we took the scenic flight over the Delta). What surprised me most was when driving to our destinations, there would be elephants or giraffes grazing right alongside the roads. We saw just as much wildlife travelling as we did on the game reserves. I was very impressed with Jenman's itinerary and it certainly gave us a good flavor for Botswana, Namibia, and Zimbabwe. We will definitely travel with Jenman on our next African experience! "

" The lunch that was prepared and served after long drives by the guide was either raw uncooked hot dogs (I watched him take them from the package and drop into a bowl, not boiling or grilling and we had the resources to do both), spam and bologna along with a token bunch of lettuce some cucumbers and tomatoes. No one was expecting processed food for lunch day in and day out for two and a half weeks. When I could, I paid for my own lunch or dinner wherever it said “food prepared by the guide”. To say this was a major disappointment on this tour would be an understatement. In addition, when the food was prepared on the truck, no water appeared to be used to clean and no hands were washed by the guides. On a following day at lunch in a restaurant, hot dogs were ordered for everyone without even asking. Some of us didn’t eat as we don’t like hot dogs, and we told him so. The very next day, guess what we had for lunch..

After a very long drive through the Namibian desert, everyone was looking forward to some seafood at the local restaurant which specializes in fish. Once we arrived, our guide Pine told us they were out of fish and chips and instead took it upon himself to order everyone grilled cheese sandwiches and French fries (for the 6th time on the trip). I asked the waitress if there was fish and chips on the menu, she said “of course” so I assume to save money, our guide ordered the cheapest thing on the menu. Once we arrived in Swakopmund, there was another chance to have fish and chips and the guide assured us he would make reservations, he never did so we couldn’t get in.

We stayed two nights in the Goma Lodge which really wasn’t necessary as there was nothing to do, instead we should have added one of those nights to our first hotel in Etosha which was great. Camp Kwando is in need of a major face lift, it was acceptable and a pretty cool place all in all. know.

A small but added touch would have been to have plenty of drinking water on the truck since a fridge was on board, instead we made multiple stops to get water.

It seemed like no major attempt was made to find Cheetah‘s. The focus was more on getting to the next hotel so that a rugby game could be watched or time to drink and smoke cigarettes. I have to wonder if either guide had ever actually been guides before. They were very unorganized and I know the feeling is shared by most of the group if not all.

We told our guide several times that we could not hear him on the speaker while we were in the truck when he occasionally had something to say, this was never corrected. We also asked him to please gather email address of everyone in our tour group so that we could correspond in the future, we were told by both guides as least 5-6 times that they would get this list together, they never did. We also were not provided much detail/information while on the tour.

And finally, on several occasions where there would extra activities available once we arrived to our hotel, (visit a village, museum, etc.,) The guide said he would arrange something for everyone once we arrived, this never happened. Instead, he watched a rugby game. "

" For my first time to Africa Jenman made the experience so much fun. Our group of 12 from different parts of the globe got on so well as we travelled around areas of South Africa, The Kalahari and Zimbabwe. We saw alot of wildlife like lion, elephants, zebras, giraffe, Hippos, buffalo and wildebeest to name a few. Its just such a shame we missed the cheetahs and the near extinct Rhinos! The only minor negative was the distances between the destinations but once we accepted this and settled into our tour it really wasn't an issue. Overall a fantastic trip of a lifetime and a wonderful experience! "
