" This should be zero starts but unfortunately you have to put at least one. I have been a customer of McCarthy Renault Gateway for 8 years now. This has happened to me once before but after today's experience I feel compelled to write a review. My car was booked for a service this morning. I did arrive a little later than expected because of congestion at the N2 interchange, arrived at 8:10am, took about 15 minutes for my car to be signed in while I was waiting outside. Noticeably there were a queue of cars parked waiting to be moved into the workshop so I can understand that they are busy. Entered the reception area to wait for a lift to work. I was told that the drivers had left already and that I shouldn't have to wait long. After more than an hour of waiting 9:20am I approached the gentleman manning the service area and remarked how much longer is it going to be. He proceeded to call a driver who informed him he was passing Umdloti and on the way back to the dealership. By 10 am I had cancelled three of my appointments and insisted they either organise another driver/a taxi or give me my car back. When no immediate effort was made I asked for my key and drove to work. This is shear complacency on the part of the staff and management and disregard for customer service. There was another Gentleman waiting as long as me who was also getting irate. When you walk past a client sitting in your reception area and it appears he has been waiting for more than an hour (especially if the individuals working there have walked past and smiled at me more than 10 times) then I expect you to ask is everything ok, how can we help you, our apologies or something to acknowledge you are aware there is a delay. Further should you not have sufficient drivers to service your clients find a solution, don't put your clients out just because you aren't prepared. Had someone told me when I arrived that I would be expected to wait for 2 hours I would have told them upfront to rebook me for another day so that neither of us is inconvenienced. As I have said this has happened to me once before where I waited for 90 minutes, I gave them the benefit of the doubt but twice in 1 year is bull. If you can't be professional about your servicing of vehicles then I will find a professional dealership to assist me and when I come to purchase a new car I may well decide to do that from another dealership too. 1:40pm and yet to have a phone call from the management with an apology for any inconvenience "

" I serviced my car at Renault Gateway from brand new. The vehicle was always on time for its scheduled service. The service department failed to flag that my timing belt was due for a replacement. Not worth the risk, take your car elsewhere. "
