Eagle Summit Christian Academy: Where Goal Getters Soar!

Eagle’s Summit Christian Academy runs 90 percent for profit and 10 percent as a charitable organization. Currently a total number of 5 leaners have been adopted for free education provision on a charitable basis. The school exists to provide education services towards the attainment of primary, and secondary school certificates according to the Zambian curriculum of education. The school will also provide mentoring services towards the realization of individual career objectives. Nonprofit outreach services will be provided to the learners from less privileged backgrounds who demonstrate willingness and potential to aspire for a better education.

The educational services offered to students include preschool and primary education services. Literacy classes will also be introduced in mid-2017. The purpose of preschool education services is to promote the overall development of children by building a strong foundation in literacy with some numeracy, and helping them to acquire the attitudes and competencies that will facilitate their success to integrate into higher grades. The purpose of primary instructional services is to promote the overall development of students and their integration into society through basic learning, which will contribute to the progressive development of their autonomy and will prepare them for the level of learning required in secondary school

The school runs as a partnership limited by shares. The premises for the school originally a residential dwelling were changed to a school. The school is a completely new business with new infrastructure set up.

The reason for choosing this location is based on the fact that the area is poorly serviced by affordable quality educational facilities. The surrounding community is serviced by 6 schools, 2 faith-based, 2 government and 2 private schools. There exists a school for differently abled students close by Eagle Summit Christian Academy. The Faith-based schools offer relatively qualitative education while the rest of the schools in the community are below standard. Eagle Summit is better placed to offer education of the highest quality through the use of modern technology teaching aids such as computers, and using better qualified personnel than the average teachers in the area. Through partnership with schools in the U.S.A, the school will cross pollinate ideas and knowledge for the benefit of the learners. Although there are no specific barriers entering the market, the challenge lies with the ability to attract the local communities to the school in the initial stages. However, with heightened marketing of the school and the quality of the education that will be offered, prospects for viability are extremely high

Drawing from this character, learners at ESCA will demonstrate influence, command and mastery over their subjects. They have liberty and freedom to pursue areas of interest within the boundaries of what the school will be able to offer and learn to demonstrate superiority and perfection of their area of interest.

The colors of an eagle are gold, brown, white and grey. The school has adopted the colors of the eagle for its uniforms, surrounding and materials. Specifically the color gold has been isolated as symbolizing the schools aspirations. “The color gold is the color of success, achievement and triumph. Associated with abundance and prosperity, luxury and quality, prestige and sophistication, value and elegance, the psychology of this color implies affluence, material wealth and extravagance.”
