" Lives up to it's five stars!! We were brought to the hotel by water taxi, and were met by Edward, or as he introduced himself: Speedy-Edward, The Man With the Golden Key (A name I will not soon forget. Give this man a raise!). He had a million dollar smile and was dancing the whole way to their dock (come to find out he knows a half-dozen languages, and is learning a half-dozen more). After he checked us in and we tearfully departed his company, we enjoyed top notch service from the era-themed bar, and ate dinner on their restaurants patio, overlooking the Zambezi a few dozen meters away. Breakfast was one-of-a-kind with some of the best omelettes I've ever had, and the walk to the falls can be done in a flash, especially if you have one of the on-site transport golf carts take you there ;). Be sure to visit the Curio Shops while at the falls, but bring your A-game, those guys are tough barterers. "

" We stayed here only for 2 nights during our stop between safaris to relax and see Vic Falls. The property is gorgeous. The food is good, the afternoon tea is worth the experience but my 2 favorite spots were the pool (not busy at all and zebras walk around freely) and the bar by the water - drinks are delicious and the views of the sunset over the Zambezi are simply incredible. We had a bit of a rainy afternoon and we got a massage by the river! Great massage and great escape during the rain - they have these cool tents set up outside so while you are covered you get to either see the river and/or enjoy the sound of the rain. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel both nights and they were great quality. "

" One of the best places to stay by Vic. Falls. Well appointed rooms with fine dining option. The view from the deck is prestine, a good place to watch the sun set! You may occasionally see hippos! "

" Beautiful girl with zebra grazing in the front yard next to the pool. Obviously going to be very expensive for this reason.
Zebras are obviously not meant to be domesticated. Shame that they are and guests get so much pleasure out of it. Can understand why. They're such beautiful creatures "

" We stayed at the Royal Livingstone as part of our honeymoon and it was the perfect choice in hotel. We chose to stay in Zambia because it was easy to do the Devils Pool (during Oct and Nov this is the best way to experience the falls - do make sure you have a bit of swimming experience and be sure to pre book this tour. It leaves from the deck of this hotel so is very convenient for guests staying here).
We could not have been happier with this hotel, from the help of the staff to the friendly morning hello's and goodnights. A private dinner was even organised for us on our last evening - the food and beverage manager went above and beyond in his role. I will make mention of one very special person who helped make our stay memorable, Gift, you were an absolute breathe of fresh air and it was a delight meeting you during our stay.
It was quite special and something we will remember forever, to be sitting on the deck of our hotel room and have zebra's casually walk up to us, only a couple of metres away. Truly amazing!!
I couldn't recommend this hotel anymore. A must if you are in Zambia :) "

" Beautiful Colonial-era hotel just above the Zambian side of Victoria Falls. Elegant accommodations. A gin and tonic at the river bar at sunset can't be beat! In the middle of a National Park so you will see Zebras and Giraffes wandering around the grounds. :) "

" Style, service, service! I have been there many times- sometimes as the expedition leader of Nat Geo or Bushtracks group and nothing is too much to ask. Restaurant expensive. I was dissapionted in the selection of wines that they offer e.g. no dry rose? "

" Well-maintained hotel. Wide open spaces to walk around. 10-15 min walk to Victoria Falls.
Loved seeing the giraffes and zebras roam freely, though it was a little unnerving at first! Our driver told us that there used to be a male giraffe that kicked guests! The final straw was when the giraffe kicked a guest in the face! It's no longer roaming around this hotel... thank god!
Dinner was okay, nothing special. Service was slow. "
