Wessec Sol is a wholly owned Zimbabwean Company started by M. Chimatira. The company started of by manufacturing aluminum coffin handles in 2005. Management decided to scale down position, the Board decided to turn the company into a plastic recycling entity in mid 2009. This decision has since proven to be a good one as the company has grown in leaps and bounds since then.
The company’s first plastic product was HDPE chips. After realizing the need to add value and better returns the company procured a palletizing machine from China. The company sold these pallets successfully to pipe and bag making entities in Harare until retained earnings were enough to move into the production of Black Sheeting.
The Black Sheeting proved to be a market favorite and the company now boasts of a steady clientele among which large companies such as Beta Bricks, Willdale, Mica Hardware, Power Speed, Kutsaga Seeds and Farm and City Centre.
Following the success of the Black Sheeting product, management decided to expand the company’s product line by buying a High and Low Density Plastic pipe making line. The line has capacity to produce more than 6 kilometers of plastic pipes daily. The pipes are mainly suited for the use of explosive housing and water drainage in mines and irrigation in farms. The nature and quality of the pipes have led to the company also striking lucrative supplier contracts with the likes of Workman, Tobacco Sales Floor (TSF), Janny Engineering, Dollar Tantalum Mine, Gold Search Mine, Mica Hardware, Pro Pack, Global Hardware, Build Easy Hardware, Hardware Centre and many other hardware and mining companies.
