" Staff are not very clever or pleasent. WiFi is to slow to load even a Facebook page and doesn't really reach the room nicely. There is no warm never mind hot water. And when I enquired as to why I was told because they couldn't light a fire under the boiler as it was raining. .... Rain is not a freak occurance it happens many days a year, they need a better plan. 8:30 at night I want to shower and go to bed iv had a long day traveling. Drinking water is a pretty basic thing to provide, they didn't. And although I don't watch TV when I travel as I have my laptop the TV is so small and in a cage with locks that its actually offensive. There is a lot of road noise. The toilet roll is the cheepest stuff you can buy and very unpleasant to use. Not a pleasant place to stay. Its more what I would expect in the $10/15 dollar a night range. Not $45/55 a night. "

We had travelled from Harare without booking accommodation as we had heard that most Hotels and Guesthouses in Mutare were of a low standard, overpriced and were not very pleasant, so you can imagine our delight when my wife and I stumbled upon “The Homestead Guesthouse” just a short walk from the town with a real touch of Irish Hospitality.

We were Initially greeted by Natalie with a pleasant and friendly smile, The First impression was how Clean and well kept the Guesthouse was, It was a delight to see a well kept Lawn and gardens and the rooms were to a very High Standard. The one criticism that I would have is that the resident Monkeys are a little cheeky and would pay us a visit as we relaxed by the Pool.

Every effort was made to make us feel at Home and the free Computer Internet access helped us put our affairs in order. The nest Morning we had a Full Irish Breakfast which was very welcomed, the whole experience was the best we had on our Holliday’s to Zimbabwe and with a reasonable cost you really can’t go too wrong

Room Tip: The Miranda Suite is great for Family's "
