" Just got to Zimbabwe and was very apprehensive about the safety of this country. So far I've going the people friendly and honest and the country is far more civilised than ever considered.
The cave affair is a fantastic place to visit if you come to Harare. The visitor centre has an open fire bbq plus a bar and extremely rustic, but modern, settings. Suggest you try the local meat lunch there.
Head out from the visitor centre and take a walk up the hill. In several places ate stoneage paintings, many still highly visible. I've added a few pictures to shiw, but coming to see such ancient art up close is an unmissable opportunity, and its only 10usd.
Similar to Tanzania Zimbabwe drives on the correct dude of the road, the left, and use British plugs. Almost everything is in English.
I highly recommend the short walk from the visitor centre to the cave paintings, you do need to be able to walk and negotiate a few slippery rocks. "
