It was on May 8, 2008 when Pastor’s Takunda and Linnet Sibanda stepped into Chinhoyi, that God spoke clearly to them saying “ The rain season has begun, I have sent you to give life and hope to Mashonaland West” (Job 14:7). At that time they were serving in His Presence Ministries International (HPMI) where they planted HPMI Chinhoyi from just them attending the first service until a total of 200 members by December 2012. In order to fulfill their divine mandate, Goshen City Church was birthed in December 2012, with the first service being held on December 23,2012 in their home in Chikonohono and had an attendance of 33 people including children.
