" Hayes is a must see if in Ambleside......any time of the year.....but nearing Christmas the displays of all things festive are truly amazing and Santa's grotto for the kids is great!....everything from the smallest bauble to life size model deer and this year Highland cattle........if the budget allows.
Lovely restaurant for everything from a coffee or tea to a full meal, and friendly staff. I'm now 70 and since a small child have seen this place grow and grow. Plenty of parking. "

" Gorgeous place for Christmas themed decorations at this time of year (October - December)! Lots of stuff to see, gorgeous ornaments and decor, well layed out and quite big. You could easily get lost in there! "

" First time visiting today, really great selection. Kids loved it. The guys who served us in the cafe and when leaving were really friendly. Terrace outside was really lovely, with great views. Will go again when in the area :) 💟 "

" Great as a garden centre. We went in looking for dog harnesses and found the choice lacking what we needed but we were quite specific. The staff were friendly and helpful and it's generally a nice place to go. "
